We were created to praise – it is an integral part of every human being. We praise the things which we support, value and love. We should be just as enthusiastic about praising God celebrating His love and everything that He has done for us as what people are at a sport event. Praise is where God dwells. When we praise the Lord, we have got his ear, His presence manifests and things start to change. Praise gives us access to God because we enter His courts with thanksgiving in our hearts. When your heart is open God can work with you and through praise you will be changed, healed and restored, because your focus is removed from you and your problem unto the solution – which is God. Praise brings us to a place of humility because it brings to our awareness our total dependence upon God. Praise brings deliverance and changes our garments from heaviness. Praise is also an effective weapon of spiritual warfare. When you enter God’s presence with praise, He will fight your battles. We praise God because He is immutable, self-sufficient, infinite, omnipotent, all-powerful, omniscient, omnipresent, perfect in wisdom, faithful, gracious, kind, loving, holy, glorious, good and always true – and the list just goes on. Two ways of praising God is through scripture and singing.
