Throughout the Bible we see people building altars unto the Lord, which altars remained. This is a type of the kind of priority we need to give to spiritual things in our lives. An altar is a memorial, a place for sacrifice. When we can go to the altar of the joy of our salvation and thanksgiving in our hearts in a time of adverse circumstances and despite those circumstances offer up a sacrifice of praise, thanksgiving and worship unto God, we will see Him responding with heaven getting activated on our behalf.
