Our faith is that which is central in our Christian walk as well as in all that is happening around us with this pandemic. This trial has come to prove the genuineness of our faith. How we respond in this time proves to God and to ourselves, how much we have grown in the precious faith which has initially been gifted to us by God. Throughout every trial, we need to persistently hold on to the word of God, both in reading and confessing it. We need to keep in mind throughout our various trials that they only last for a limited period, they test our knowledge of who God is and they produce precious, genuine, tested faith. The result of this is victory and glory unto God and blessing for us. Unsurprisingly, God tests every believer and He will take us through the same test until we are victorious. Three things are targeted by God in these times: the changing of our characters, conduct, and motives. However, God is always with us throughout our trials and tests, He is sovereign and always in control, His grace sufficient for us. God is faithful, that you will not be tempted beyond what you can bear and there is always a way of escape. When we come to the end of ourselves, we find the beginning of God. God has got full confidence in you and really expects you to pass the test or training, coming out stronger and having gained things that were previously lacking in you. Throughout all this testing and training, God has our ultimate good in mind and that is that we shall possess all which He has for us. Facing difficulties is inevitable, but learning from them is optional. This is God’s way – the best way.
