A king has a kingdom, and every kingdom has a unique flavour taken from the king. The universal Kingdom of God consists out of people and is one of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Jesus came to give us gifts to make us kings. The first gift is righteousness, a well of ever-flowing living water welling up to eternal life. This righteousness is the righteousness of God which came to us through faith and grace, and the faith and grace were also gifts from Him. The second gift, given to maintain, and fully live a life of righteousness, was the gift of the Holy Spirit, accompanied with all of His gifts and fruit. The third gift is peace – the peace with God of knowing that we are reconciled to Him through our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as the peace of God. The fourth gift is a supernatural joy, a joy which is beyond understanding, independent of circumstances.
