At the time when Moses had the encounter with God at the burning bush, he was just an ordinary person about to encounter an extra-ordinary God. The fire which did not consume the bush, was the sign of the holiness of God. It is God’s heart’s desire to reveal himself in and through us. As we encounter God and in the fire of God’s holiness, our old identities, lifestyles, rhythms, and routines die. Our time gets surrendered fully to God and we are called upon to be holy and set apart for Him. We let go of any and every limitation we have placed upon ourselves and God’s working in our lives. God wants to totally remove from us all unbelief and deferred hope and set our hearts ablaze with His holy fire, because the fulfilment of God’s promises and his holiness go hand in hand. Let us therefore yield ourselves unto the holy fire of the Lord.
