All mankind has the image of God but only Christians have the likeness of God through accepting Christ in their lives. We are partakers of, included in and joined to the divine nature, a joining which is called marriage. We are moving into ever-increasing light regarding these promises of God. We do not have bodies of sin, but mortal bodies awaiting immortality. In partaking of the divine nature and power we partake of faith which leads us to end up in love which translates into faith working by love. Love is maturity, perfection – the full stature of Christ himself. This raised Christ-life should be our meditation – the realm which we relate to, will be the realm from which we are living. Our lives are irrevocably embedded in Christ, in the divine nature. We do not go around trying to kill the flesh, but we put on Christ. In this way we move to growth and progress in our Christian walk, being effective, seeing promises come to reality. When Christ is revealed, He will come to us but also through us. This is what the Kingdom is – God in and through people. The kingdom is not heaven – it is the domain of the king, where He rules and reigns, i.e. in us. To be like Jesus, we need to live a life of love and we will not be ineffective, nearsighted or blind and God will minister to us a rich entrance into the Kingdom. God has made great and precious promises, He has got His divine power backing us, He has made knowledge available through the preaching and teaching – we have got everything going for us. We have a goal and a direction, our glorious transformation and transfiguration like as with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration. We need God’s wisdom and understanding in order that we may know the hope to which He has called us – the riches of our glorious inheritance in us and God’s incomparably great power for us who believe.
